GARAGE IN LEMOYNE
On the heels of purchasing a beautiful home on a sloping site in Lemoyne overlooking the Susquehanna River and Harrisburg beyond, a young couple engaged CDA to re-imagine a new garage at the rear of the property. The expressed direction was to develop a design representative of the beauty and quality of craftsmanship to be performed within.
CDA responded with a 575sf cast-in-place concrete and wood structure finished with a hardwood rain screen, clerestory windows, standing seam metal, and a custom polycarbonate clad garage door. The design is highly site-specific, including a roof overhang sheltering an adjacent walkway and shop equipment, a cement board surface for backyard movie nights, and lighting to support evening gatherings on a nearby deck.
